Mole Removal

There are a couple of very simple things you can check for to determine if you need mole removal.  Mole Removal Answers has a more comprehensive list but here are two things you can check for.

The first thing is how symmetrical is your mole?  This means if you cut your mole in half would each half look like the other?  If not you should talk to your doctor and discuss his removing moles strategy.

Another thing to look for is does your mole have a clearly defined border?  If it's hard to find the border or it's unclear that is bad.  As above phone your doctor, set an appointment and realise you might have to have mole removal surgery.

There are definitely some risks associated with mole removal and Mole Removal Answers has more detailed information but I'd like to look at a couple here.

The first thing you need to check is whether you have any issues with anesthesia.  Some people can have violent allergic reactions which can result in their death; although, this is only a small percentage of people and a simple mole removal procedure shouldn't result in your death!

Another big thing to be aware of is that you will most definitely end up with scar unless you can afford expensive laser mole removal.  This is because in most cases removing moles is done by cutting into the skin so there will be a wound that has to heal.

Here are some assorted ways of removing moles and like everything you should speak to your doctor and discuss the various ramifications of mole removal.

One option is laser mole removal which is becoming more all the rage is it leaves very trivial scarring.  Regrettably it can only be used for the most negligble moles but it is a fine candidate for facial mole removal.

Incision plus cauterizing is also very widespread.  The mole is surgically removed by cutting into the skin and removing the mole and neighboring tissue although uses temperature to cauterize and close the nerves so flow of blood stops and infection does not occur.

Mole removal by slicing is also widespread.  This is achieved by slicing minute layers off of the mole until the mole being smooth with the skin.  This selection is only offered if the mole is non-cancerous as rather than the mole being removed it is just been a cosmetic alteration.
